WALLZ 2025

The sixth annual street art festival WALLZ, organized by the DEPO2015 cultural space, will take place from June 23 to 27, 2025. The main goal of the festival is to cultivate neglected or unsightly areas in Pilsen - from facades and subways to retaining walls and playgrounds. This year, 10 large-scale murals will be created in locations throughout the city.

The most striking locations include, for example, the retaining wall at the Slovany railway station , the facade of a house in Kaplířova Street , the headquarters of the Kooperativa insurance company in Zahradní Street , or the sports field at the 7th Elementary School . A prominent feature of this year's event will be the painting in Křižíkovy sady , which will commemorate 10 years since the title of Pilsen 2015 - European Capital of Culture . The author of the mural, entitled Diagonála, will be Mexican artist Itzio Barberena , whose design was selected from a public call for entries from more than 320 artists from around the world.

This year's international representation includes names such as Fabio Petani (Italy), Julian Manzelli aka Chu Doma (Argentina), Delia Cîrstea and Roper Repor (Romania) or Enrico Sutter aka ALIVE 4000 (Germany). The Czech scene will include Václav Matoušek aka Bill the Hobo , students of the Pilsen Faculty of Design and Art Ladislav Sutnar and Jan Kaláb , who will head to the partner city of Chemnitz – ECOC 2025 as part of an international exchange.

One of the unique projects is the collaboration with the insurance company Kooperativa , which, as a long-term partner of the festival, decided to have the facade of its building transformed with a new mural every year - this year by Fabio Petani , known for combining natural motifs and chemical elements.

This year, the festival is also participating in the celebrations of the Pilsen 2025 anniversary and is significantly expanding its cooperation with private owners, institutions and the city.

The festival final party will take place on Friday, June 27th in Proluce.
